Bandwith Karaoke: Connecticut’s Rockstar Experience

You’re at a bar or a party on a weekend night some time in 2012.  You’re with your friends and you’re looking forward to socializing, drinking and having an all around good time. Then the host says one seemingly deadly, four syllable word-KARAOKE. Now maybe you like karaoke, maybe you despise it.  But on this particular night, you don’t want to hear a bunch of drunk shmucks stumble over their words to a modified, prerecorded track.  You think, “karaoke would sound a lot better with a live band.”  You don’t need to look far for this experience!  A karaoke band exists in Connecticut and you can rock with them every Friday night.

Atmosphere:  10/10– Bandwith Karaoke delivers a truly thrilling atmosphere on Friday nights at Coach’s Bar and Grill in Hartford and on the second Saturday of every month at Center Station in Berlin.  On those days, you can rock out with Lefebvre, Whit, J-Mo, Debbie and Stereo Joe to a wide selection of songs.  These songs transcend the genres of rock, pop, rap and country, so there is something for everyone.  If you’re nervous about performing in front of people, don’t worry! The band makes you feel welcome in front of the audience and provides you with the lyrics on screen that rests below the mic stand.  You can perform a song by yourself  or rock out with a friend, or two, or three…

Service: 10/10– Bandwith Karaoke provides excellent service in terms of instrumentals and organization.  Bandwith Karaoke isn’t one of those bands you hire for a high school dance or wedding.  These guys actually rock!  We were impressed by their instrumentals, backup vocals and their ability to perform for hours without tiring.  This is a band that performs well live and that’s more than we can say for many mainstream and local bands.   The band also organizes their set list with precision. They try their best to make sure everyone has a chance to sing at least once.  Arrive early so you can secure your name on the set list!

Price: 10/10 $5.  This score should be self-explanatory

Variety: 10/10  Bandwith Karaoke provides a long list of songs for you to rock out to.  They’re always adding songs to the list and they’re open to suggestions.  Have a song idea?  Simply leave the band a comment on their Facebook page and they’ll consider it!

In A Nutshell  40/40:  Bandwith Karaoke scores a perfect A because they bring a true rock star experience and provide a night of fun at an incredibly low price!  If you’re curious about the songs or the experience itself, check out the YouTube video and the set list below.  We strongly encourage you to join this band!
